Confirmed: Justvan heads to Darmstadt on loan

SV Darmstadt have procured additional attacking assistance in the form of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim attacking midfielder Julian Justvan.
German youth international Julian Justvan's loan out from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim to SV Darmstadt 98 is through. The last-placed Lillies, in search of some additional attacking assistance with very limited means, had been targeting the 25-year-old for several weeks. At his Friday presser, SV trainer Torsten Lieberknecht reiterated his respect for the former 2. Bundesliga professional he became familiar with during Justvan's years at Paderborn.

"After I was rather sceptical yesterday lunchtime about short-term new signings, I was all the more pleased when there was movement in the negotiations late in the afternoon," Lieberknecht said, "Julian Justvan is a quick, technically adept player with good defensive anticipation who can be deployed flexibly. We know from his time in Paderborn how unorthodox, in a positive sense, he fills his positions."

Justvan made just four relief appearances for Hoffenheim since transferring from Paderborn this offseason. The TSG front office personnel executive responsible for commenting on the deal nevertheless emphasized that the Sinsheim club expected Justvan back in Kraichgau following his short-term six-month loan stint.

"Julian is a very talented player who can play an important role in our squad in the future," personnel director Pirmin Schwegler said in a statement released by the TSG, "He has repeatedly indicated this in numerous training sessions, even though he has hardly had any match practice at the highest level with us so far."
