Bayern set to part ways with technical director, reports Sky

Bayern Munich are set to part company with technical director Marco Neppe, according to a report from Sky Germany.
Marco Neppe's time at Bayern Munich appears to be coming to an end.

According to Sky Germany, Neppe's contract as technical director will be terminated in the near future.

Neppe has seen his influence on transfers diminish following the arrival of Christoph Freund as sporting director, with the latter responsible for Bayern's recent signing of Eric Dier, the report claims.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen is also involved in potential signings and player negotiations, and with Max Eberl expected to join as board member for sport at the beginning of March at the latest, there's no room for Neppe.

Neppe joined Bayern as a scout in 2014. He was appointed head of scouting in 2017, and took over as technical director in 2021.
