If Claudio Pizarro decides that he wants to continue his career beyond this season, it's possible that he'll have to find a new club.

Pizarro is under contract at Werder Bremen until the end of the season, and club boss Frank Baumann doesn't want to promise that the 40-year-old will be offered a new contract in case he decides to carry on.

"If Claudio decides to play for another year, I can't promise that we'll automatically say yes," Baumann explained in an interview with Sport Bild.

"First of all, as it's the case in all contract negotiations, we look at what is best for Werder. Claudio has to decide if he wants to keep playing or if he wants to retire after a season like this - with important goals," he continued.

The 40-year-old striker has scored five goals in 21 games for Werder this season.
