Tuchel cites "language barriers" as reason for Zaragoza's slow integration

Speaking at his Friday afternoon pre-match press-conference, FC Bayern München head-coach Thomas Tuchel supplied an explanation as to why newly-acquired Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza has barely featured for his new club.

In addition to speaking on a myriad of other topics, FC Bayern München trainer Thomas Tuchel also fielded a question on Spanish winger Bryan Zaragoza at his Friday presser. After an injury to Kingsley Coman led to him being brought in by the German giants six months ahead of schedule during the most recent January transfer window, the 22-year-old has made only one appearance in six matches.

"First and foremost, there's the language barrier," Tuchel explained on Friday, "It's difficult for him in English and in German. That's a basic component. [With Bryan] it was about playing it safe since we didn't know how long [wingers] Kingsley [Coman] and Serge [Gnabry] would be out."

"It was clear to me from the beginning that it would be a big step for him," Tuchel continued, "and we sense that now. We see his quality, but also observe that that - linguistically speaking - the integration isn't complete. We knew that he would need time from us."
