Saarbrücken vs. Mönchengladbach preview: Team news and predicted lineups

Here is our preview of Tuesday's postponed DFB-Pokal quarter-final clash between Saarbrücken and Gladbach, including predicted lineups.
3. Liga side Saarbrücken continue their sensational DFB-Pokal campaign when they host Borussia Mönchengladbach in the quarterfinals at Ludwigspark on Tuesday night.

The match was originally scheduled to be played in February, but due to a severely waterlogged pitch, the game was postponed until March 12.

Having previously knocked Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt out of the cup in sensational fashion, Saarbrücken enter the match in good form, riding a six-match unbeaten streak.

If that streak is to continue, Saarbrücken coach Rüdiger Ziehl knows his team will need to produce another exceptional performance.

"It is clear who the favorites are. Normally, the Bundesliga team comes out on top. We want to try and take the fun out of the game. We've shown twice that we can do that, but of course we have to push ourselves to the limit again," he said.

Coming off a 3-3 draw with local rivals FC Köln, Gladbach will be wary of underestimating the 3. Liga side on a pitch that could prove difficult to play on.

"Saarbrücken have shown in the cup games the level they can play at. We've been warned, but we're focusing on our own performance and what we need to do better. We have to play with determination and aggression," said Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane.

"The pitch will of course be a factor. We've seen that it's playable and it won't risk the health of the players. That's the most important thing. We'll have to wait and see how good it is. We'll need to adapt accordingly."

Saarbrücken will be without Jacob, Neudecker, Schmidt and Uaferro. Cvancara, Omlin and Plea miss out for the guests.
