With six months remaining on his contract with Heidenheim, Lennard Maloney appears to be heading for the exit door.

And it seems the 25-year-old has plenty of options when it comes to choosing his next employer.

According to Sky Germany, English Championship outfit Birmingham City and Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki are both interested in signing the US international.

Three unnamed Bundesliga clubs from the lower half of the table are also interested in the defensive midfielder, the report claims.

Maloney was left out of Heidenheim's squad for their final match of 2024 against Bochum because of his uncertain future.

“I simply want my vice-captain to have a different focus and perform differently on the pitch," Heidenheim coach Frank Schmidt said at the time.
