According to the German news outlet, Kruse is determined to play European football next season, and he has acknowledged that he may have to leave Weserstadion to fulfill his wish.
Theoretically, Werder could still end up seventh and access the second qualifying round for the Europa League. To do so, they must beat RB Leipzig on the last matchday on Saturday while both Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg have to lose at the same time.
Kruse doesn't have a lot of offers to consider at this point, though. According to Bild, Tottenham and Inter have cooled their interest in the 31-year-old while Borussia Mönchengladbach have publicly said that they're not interested in signing the striker this summer.
AS Roma currently looks like the most likely destination for the Werder Bremen captain who has scored 12 goals and made 14 assists in 36 appearances this season.
