AC Milan have reached an agreement in principle with Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric, Sky understands.
Milan's new sporting director, Zvonimir Boban, is now set to discuss a transfer fee with Hoffenheim.
Kramaric's agent, Vincenzo Cavaliere, recently said that it may be an advantage that Boban - the striker's Croatian compatriot - is involved in the negotiations.
"Boban can certainly be an advantage. He follows the Croatian national team a lot, where Kramaric plays with great continuity. His goals have always been decisive," Cavaliere told Milan News.
"It's difficult to say how much Hoffenheim want for him, but I believe around 30-40m. He's very happy at Hoffenheim, he feels very good with them and he's treated like a great player," the agent added.
Kramaric, 28, scored 22 goals in 37 appearances for Hoffenheim last season. His contract runs until 2022.
