VfB Stuttgart's Ozan Kabak is tending towards joining Bayern München rather than AC Milan, Sport1 understands.

However, according to Bild, Kabak has decided that he wants to join Schalke 04.

Sport1 claims that the centre-back and his agent met with representatives from Bayern on Monday before flying to Italy to negotiate with AC Milan.

Apparently, Kabak's meeting with the German champions went really well. Bayern Niko Kovac is very positive about signing the 19-year-old and has already given the green light for a transfer.

According to Sport1, Kabak appreciates that Kovac doesn't just see him as a back-up, but as a player who can compete with the likes of Niklas Süle and Lucas Hernandez for a spot in the starting eleven.

The 19-year-old, who joined Stuttgart from Galatasaray in January, has a release clause of €15 million.
