Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff hails the importance of Toni Kroos

Oliver Bierhoff is happy to have Toni Kroos back in the national team.
Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff has hailed the importance of Toni Kroos ahead of the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Belarus and Northern Ireland.

Kroos has returned to the national team squad after missing Germany's matches against Argentina and Estonia in October due to injury, and Bierhoff is happy to see the 29-year-old back.

"He gives the team stability, rhythm and direction in midfield. Of course, he has to embrace the competition, but he has a special position and is a role model in the team," Bierhoff said at a press conference today, as quoted by the German Football Association.

The Real Madrid midfielder has made 94 appearances for Germany, scoring 15 goals.
