Report: 13 players likely to leave Werder Bremen in case of relegation

At least 13 players are expected to depart Werder Bremen if the club fail to remain in the Bundesliga this season.

Werder Bremen might have to say goodbye to at least 13 players if they end up getting relegated from the Bundesliga this season, according to Bild.

Jiri Pavlenka, Maximilian Eggestein, Davy Klaassen, Milot Rashica should all be on the move if Werder fail to stay in the Bundesliga.

The same goes for Sebastian Langkamp, Yuya Osako, Nuri Sahin and Claudio Pizarro. The latter two are out of contract at the end of the season and Pizarro is set to put an end to an illustrious career at the age of 41.

Additionally, loanees Ömer Toprak, Leonardo Bittencourt, Kevin Vogt, Davie Selke and Michael Lang will return to their parent club in case of relegation.

Bild also mentions Niclas Füllkrug, Milos Veljkovic, Marco Friedl, Josh Sargent and Fin Bartels as players who could potentially leave.

Werder Bremen sit 17th in the Bundesliga table, having played one game less than their relegation rivals.
