Sebastian Kehl, Head of the Licensing Player Department at Borussia Dortmund, has given up part of his wages to help the club financially during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I would simply like to do my part to ensure that we all look beyond our own noses to take our social and societal responsibility during the corona crisis," Kehl told Die Welt.

Kehl didn't want to comment on whether the players at the club have offered to forgo part of their wages as well.

"In the end, when it comes to the question of salary sacrifice, everyone can only answer for themselves."

Borussia Mönchengladbach announced earlier this week that their players, coaching staff, directors and CEOs have all given up parts of their wages amid the corona crisis.
