Borussia Mönchengladbach and RB Leipzig are set to reignite their interest in OGC Nice defender Malang Sarr this summer, according to France Football.

VfL Wolfsburg and Napoli are also said to be keeping an eye on the 21-year-old, who came close to a move to Germany last summer.

According to reports, the transfer fell through because Gladbach and Leipzig weren't willing to meet Nice's asking price of €20 million.

"The situation wasn't easy. RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach presented their ambitious projects to me," Sarr said in September.

However, this year, Nice could be forced to let the centre-back go to avoid losing him for free in 2021, at which point his contract runs out.
