"We can certainly help others enormously in this phase," says Gladbach's Stefan Lainer.

Borussia Mönchengladbach were the first Bundesliga club to announce that their players would waive part of their salary to support the club and its employees during the coronavirus outbreak.
And according to Gladbach defender Stefan Lainer, it was a 'relatively easy' decision.
"We sat down together and tried to find a solution. Here at the club, we always emphasize that we are one family, so we have to live up to that. Therefore, the decision was relatively easy. We can certainly help others enormously in this phase," Lainer told Express.de.
Several other Bundesliga clubs have followed suit, including Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke 04 and Union Berlin.
