Chelsea are set to open talks over a €23 million move for Freiburg forward Luca Waldschmidt, according to The Sun.

At this point, however, Freiburg sporting director Klemens Hartenbach claims that 'The Blues' are yet to show any concrete interest in the striker.

"It is clear that Luca is rightly interesting for other clubs. However, no contact has been made in this case. We don't know anything about it," Hartenbach told Bild.

The 23-year-old has scored six goals in 16 games for Freiburg this season. His contract expires in 2022.
