Emre Can tells Jadon Sancho to be 'a bit more grown up' after haircut controversy

Emre Can has told Jadon Sancho to be 'a bit cleverer and a bit more grown up' after the youngster was fined for getting a haircut.
Emre Can says Borussia Dortmund teammate Jadon Sancho needs to be 'a bit more grown up' after the 20-year-old got himself in a trouble for being pictured without a mask while getting a haircut at home.

The German Football Association (DFL) fined Sancho and teammate Manuel Akanji on Friday, stating that they 'had apparently violated general hygiene and infection protection standards' put in place amid the coronavirus outbreak.

"Jadon is a great guy, but he needs to be a bit cleverer with certain things. Obviously everyone needs to get their hair cut sometimes, but he needs to be a bit cleverer and a bit more grown up," Can told Sky (via AFP) after Dortmund's 1-0 win over Hertha BSC on Saturday.

"We need to guide Jadon a bit. He can't afford to make mistakes like that in the future, and we can always talk to him about that as a team.

"It doesn't annoy us, but we know he has to be more disciplined with some things.

"I don't think he does it on purpose to cause a scandal. Maybe he just trusts people too much sometimes," Can said.
