Jerome Boateng has opened up on his future, insisting he "can imagine" extending his contract with Bayern München, which expires in 2021.

"I'm glad to still be with FC Bayern. I'm enjoying playing football again," the 32-year old told Kicker.

"My children feel comfortable here. With Hansi Flick as coach and this team, it is extremely fun."

Asked what appeals to him when his time at Bayern comes to an end, Boateng responded:

"A different culture. I like to get to know new things and don't always have to be in the same place. USA, Asia or another European country? We'll see."
