Davies injury appears serious, Gnabry's COVID test may be a "false positive"
The injury suffered by Alphonso Davies in early in Bayern's 5-0 rout of Eintracht Frankfurt looks to be rather serious.

Given that Davies couldn't leave the pitch on his own power, the injury looked to be quite serious. There was no official word from the club yet after the match, but nature of the injury suggests, in the best-case scenario, a sprained ankle. Such a knock could conceivably keep him out for a week or more.
Speaking to SkyGermany before the match, Hansi Flick divulged that Serge Gnabry's last two coronavirus tests had come back negative. Flick noted that this included an antigen test conducted on the very morning of the match.
"It might be the case that he's one of those rare 'false positives'," Flick told the television cameras prior to kickoff.
Given that 1. FC Heidenheim reported a minimum of five "false positives" involving their players earlier in the day, it appears as if such occurrences may not be as rare as Flick intimated.
