Lukas Klostermann opens up on interest from Borussia Dortmund
Lukas Klostermann has explained why he turned down interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund to stay at RB Leipzig.
RB Leipzig defender Lukas Klostermann has opened on Borussia Dortmund's interest in him last spring.
In addition to BVB, various other clubs were keen on Klostermann, whose contract was due to expire last summer, but the German international put the rumors to bed in May when he signed a new deal until 2024.
"Of course I had been thinking about my future, but when I look back on the last few years here, I have to say that it couldn't have gone much better. And I don't think this path is over yet," Klostermann told Kicker.
Klostermann recently made his return from a long-term knee injury as he came on from the bench in last week's 1-0 win over Stuttgart.
