According to reports from Germany, Japanese international winger Ritsu Doan is being sought out as a permanent transfer by Arminia Bielefeld, after he was snapped up earlier in September last year on a loan deal from PSV Eindhoven.

Since making his move at the start of the season, Doan has appeared 29 times for Beielfeld, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists across all competitions. He has registered 2,351 minutes so far for the club.

22-year-old Doan is a versatile attacker who is flexible enough to drift along either wings and even in the center half of the pitch as an attacking midfielder. He also possesses the ability to function as a second striker or a center-forward in the final-third.

The right winger has a market value of €7m according to transfermarkt – his permanent transfer will see Arminia shell out a record sum.

Since making his debut for Japan in 2018, the talented forward has appeared 20 times for the national team – scoring three goals in the process.
