Jamal Musiala breaks yet another record in Wolfsburg victory

The 18-year-old prodigy is no stranger to breaking records as he registered another one at Wolfsburg.
Jamal Musiala banged in a brace against Wolfsburg as Bayern edged closer to yet another Bundesliga title with a 3-2 victory at the Volkswagen Arena.

Musiala broke the deadlock just after fifteen minutes and doubled the visitor’s lead two minutes after Weghorst salvaged a goal & brought the scoreline to 1-2.

By doing so, the 18-year-old talent created history by becoming the youngest player in German top-flight history to register six goals.

He made his Bundesliga debut on 20 June 2020 against SC Freiburg, becoming the youngest player to play a match for Bayern in the Bundesliga, aged 17 years and 115 days.

Musiala scored his first Bundesliga goal in an 8–0 win over Schalke in September 2020, to become Bayern's youngest goalscorer, aged 17 years 205 days, breaking the previous record of Roque Santa Cruz, aged 18 years 12 days.

By scoring six goals so far, he replaced FC Koln’s Max Meyer in the record books – when the German did the same for Schalke 04 back in the 2013/14 Bundesliga season.

Bayern are now on course to win their ninth consecutive league title.
