Arminia Bielefeld are on the verge of landing 20-year-old winger Patrick Wimmer from Austria Vienna, according to Spox and Transfermarkt.

Per Transfermarkt, the Bundesliga outfit have already agreed a deal in principle to sign Wimmer on a four-year deal.

Wimmer could come in as a replacement for Ritsu Doan, who has returned to his parent club, PSV, after a one-year loan spell at Bielefeld.

However, the 20-year-old will not be able to help the Bundesliga outfit right away as he is currently suffering from an ankle injury.

Wimmer scored six goals and made six assists in 38 appearances last season.
