Matchday 25 – team of the week (4-4-2):

Goalkeeper: Florian Müller, Mainz
Robin Adler was ill, and Robin Zentner was out with an injury so Mainz coach Sandro Schwarz handed 20-year-old Florian Müller his league debut. And what a debut that was! Müller looked confident and unaffected by the HSV crowd, made several saves and kept out Filip Kostics penalty shot.

Right-back: Danny da Costa, Eintracht Frankfurt
Was part on a Frankfurt defense that kept a clean sheet and also scored his first Bundesliga goal in the 1-0 win over Hannover 96.

Centre-back: Mats Hummels, Bayern München
Solid as always. Won 74 percent of his duels and found a teammate with 92 percent of his passes in Bayern's 4-0 win over Freiburg.

Centre-back: Kevin Vogt, Hoffenheim
The Hoffenheim captain looked calm and composed in the 2-0 win over Augsburg. Won 11 out of his 13 duels.

Left-back: Nico Schulz, Hoffenheim
Very active on the left-hand side and was unlucky not to get a goal. Also looked solid defensively.

Right midfielder: Thomas Müller, Bayern München
A great day on the office for the clinical Bayern man who were the main architect in the 4-0 win over Freiburg. Was involved in most offensive moves, scored a goal and got an assist.

Central midfielder: Corentin Tolisso, Bayern München
Strong display from the Frenchman who never stopped running in the middle of the park. Scored a stunning goal from distance.

Central midfielder: Denis Zakaria, Borussia Mönchengladbach
Only played 45 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen, but still deserves a spot in the team. Scored the opener and created the second goal as his shot hit Bremen defender Niklas Moisander and went in.

Left midfielder: Erik Thommy, Stuttgart
The Stuttgart winger makes the team of the week for the second time in a row after another impressive performance as he assisted all three goals in the 3-2 win over FC Köln.

Striker: Mario Gomez, Stuttgart
The veteran forward scored twice in Stuttgart's important win. Equalised with a well struck finish just before the break and got his second goal a moment later after a fumble from Köln keeper Timo Horn.

Striker: Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim
Kramaric is one of the Bundesliga's most in-form players, and he continued his great form in the 2-0 win over Augsburg. Scored for the fifth match in a row and assisted Serge Gnabry's 2-0 goal.
