Šeško commits future to Leipzig

As per reports from Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany,RB Leipzig and Benjamin Šeško have reached an agreement to keep the Slovenian forward in the Bundesliga, responding to Premier League interest.

The forward netted 18 times across all competitions for Leipzig during his debut season, with his impressive form attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal.

Signing a contract with improved terms, Šeško has since agreed to stay with Die Roten Bullen for another season, with a reported ‘Gentleman’s agreement' being in place for the future exit of the 21-year-old.

Šeško joined the club prior to the 2023/24 campaign alongside fellow fresh faces Xavi Simons and Lois Openda. Whilst not being able to match Openda statistically, RB now look to further develop one of the continent's most exciting talents off the back of a fantastic debut campaign.

What has been reported as a “lucrative new contract” secures the immediate future of the forward, giving the Slovenian another chance to impress in the Bundesliga ahead of a desired move abroad.
