It took him until December to score his first RB Leipzig goal, but Conrad Harder is a popular figure at the club for putting in the effort in every game. In the 6-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt, the Dane opened his scoring account with the game's first goal in the fifth minute.
“It means a lot to me,” said Harder about his maiden strike. “I worked very hard, and it's a great feeling to score for the first time. It was a perfect pass from Baumi (Baumgartner). He’s playing a fantastic season.
“It was a great relief. I work hard every day, and everyone at the club helps me to reach this moment. We work together as a team. Everyone helps everyone. I love being here.”
The big-money signing from Sporting CP had to wait for a starting berth until Rômulo’s extended absence. The Brazilian also joined the club in the summer, but he was quick to get into the scoresheet with seven direct goal involvements before his injury.
