Bayern Munich secured a 3-1 victory over Sporting CP in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with wonderkid Lennart Karl netting the decisive goal.
The 17-year-old saw an early goal ruled out for offside, but after multiple attempts, he finally scored in the 65th minute to make it 2-1.
By doing so, Karl became the youngest player to find the net in three consecutive Champions League games at just 17 years and 290 days old.
Speaking after the match, Karl expressed his pride and joy in an interview with DAZN.
"We could have scored two or three goals in the first half, but we didn’t reward ourselves. Luckily, we scored in the second half," he said.
“Scoring in the Champions League at 17 is very special. I’m very proud of myself and happy that I could help the team."
