Tah puts World Cup disappointment behind him: "I'm eager to get going!"

Jonathan Tah was pleased to mark his return to action with a clean sheet as Bayern Munich eased to a 15-0 victory over Rottach-Egern in their latest pre-season friendly.

The defender said he immediately noticed the positive atmosphere within Vincent Kompany's squad:

"It was good to keep a clean sheet. I'm really happy to be back here, and I immediately felt that the energy is great. It's simply a lot of fun. I'm eager to get going, and I have the feeling that all the guys feel the same way."

Tah was also asked about Germany's disappointing World Cup campaign but made it clear that his full focus is now on the upcoming season:

"The World Cup is in the past. I analyze things, then try to put them behind me quickly and process them rationally. That's why I'm looking forward to the new season."

The 30-year-old emphasized that Bayern's objectives are clear as preparations continue.

“It's about working hard every day, preparing well in every training session, and winning every game. The most important thing is to stay focused on the here and now.”
