The transfer saga between Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah and a move away from the reigning Bundesliga champion has taken another twist according to Sky Sports.

Spanish giants FC Barcelona have shown considerable interest in recent months, but Sky journalist Kerry Hau has declared the German international is yet to make a final decision about his next club.

The news comes after certain Spanish media outlets suggested that Tah had made up his mind to join the Catalan outfit next summer.

Last summer, Bayern Munich appeared to be leading the race for the 29-year-old; however, Die Rekordmeister have since cooled their approach regarding the central defender.

Tah, who is contracted with Die Werkself until the summer of 2025, can leave as a free agent if an extension fails to be agreed in time.

With 33 appearances in all competitions for Xabi Alonso’s team notching 2 goals and an assist in the process, Leverkusen run the risk of losing a vital cog in their defensive setup.

The Hamburg native with 33 international caps is believed to be valued at €30million in the estimations of Transfermarkt.de.
