Tuchel disappointed after draw: "It feels strange"
Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel was disappointed his side didn't get the win in Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Real Madrid.
After going behind in the first half, Bayern came back to take a 2-1 lead before Vinicius Junior earned Real a 2-2 draw from the penalty spot.
Tuchel felt his side could have been more clinical in front of goal, while also expressing frustration with Real's ruthlessness at the other end of the pitch.
"We started very well and could have taken the lead. Then we didn't stick to our plan. I don't even know why. Then we conceded the goal and it became difficult," said Tuchel in an interview with Prime Video.
"It was better in the second half. We showed more grit," he added.
“We made it 2-1, then we still had a lot of chances and should have scored a third. It feels strange. They turned two chances into two goals.”
Looking ahead to the return leg, Tuchel believes everything remains completely open.
“The starting position is clear. Win in Madrid and go to [the final at] Wembley. For me it's still 50-50. We'll see what happens.”
