Augsburg make Jakic's loan move permanent

Augsburg have signed Kristijan Jakic on a permanent basis from Eintracht Frankfurt.

After spending the 2023/24 season on loan at Augsburg from Eintracht Frankfurt, Kristijan Jakic has moved to the Fuggerstädter on a permanent basis.

On Friday, Augsburg confirmed that a purchase option in the loan deal had been triggered, with Jakic signing a permanent contract until 2028.

"I am very happy that FCA has exercised the purchase option and that I can stay in Augsburg beyond the end of the season. My hopes and expectations for the winter transfer have been fulfilled," said Jakic.

“We have developed very well as a team and I was able to make my contribution. I am convinced that we have not yet reached the end, but that we still have a lot of plans together. That's why I'm looking forward to being part of FCA in the future.”

Augsburg's sporting director, Marinko Jurendic, added:

“We are very happy to be able to keep Kristijan Jakić for the long term. Kristijan quickly integrated into the team after his transfer and proved with his personality and playing style that he is an important building block for our team. He is ambitious and always wants to develop and take FCA forward with us.”
