Arsenal’s plans to sign a new striker this summer have raised fresh questions about Kai Havertz’s long-term future at the Emirates.

According to BBC Sport, the Gunners are open to selling one of their more established first-team players within the next 12 months, with the German international mentioned as a potential candidate, depending on how his role in the squad develops.

The BBC also reports that “several clubs in Germany” are “keeping a close eye” on Havertz’s situation ahead of the summer of 2026, when he will have two years left on his contract.

The 26-year-old attacker left Bayer Leverkusen to join Chelsea in 2020 before making the switch to Arsenal in 2023.

Since then, he has made 87 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 29 goals and providing 13 assists.
