Confirmed: Wolfsburg loan out Franjic again

VfL Wolfsburg confirmed a season-long loan out for Croatian midfielder Bartol Franjic on Tuesday afternoon. 

Croatian transfer flop Bartol Franjic will remain under contract with his German club VfL Wolfsburg for the time being. The 24-year-old's rumored second loan-out in as many years has nevertheless been confirmed. Recently returned from a loan spell with relegated Bundesliga side SV Darmstadt 98, Franjic will at least receive the chance to play Champions' League football with Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk next year. 

Since joining Wolfsburg in the January 2022 transfer window, Franjic has seen his estimated market worth decline from a peak of €6.5 million to €1.8 million in the latest transfermarkt update. He garnered just one assist in 20 league appearances for Darmstadt last season. He remains under contract with Wolfsburg - who once paid €7.5 million for him - through 2027.
