Duran names Bayern his dream club after Villa winner

After finding the winner in Aston Villa's win over Bayern Munich, John Duran said he had scored against "the club of his dreams".

 

Jhon Duran spoke of his admiration for Bayern Munich after his goal gave Aston Villa a 1-0 win over the German giants in the Champions League on Wednesday.

"I'm happy to score and even more so against a great team, one of my dream clubs, and happy to be man of the match," he told ESPN.

“Bayern are a great team in Europe, for me they are one of the best in the world. I was pleased to play against them.”

The 20-year-old Colombian striker joined Aston Villa from Chicago Fire in January 2023.

He has started this season very brightly, scoring six goals in nine appearances in all competitions.
