Hoffenheim unveil new managing director for sport
Back in July, TSG Hoffenheim decided to sack long-serving managing director Alexander Rosen as part of a significant reorganisation.
Now, the Sinsheim-based Bundesliga club have announced Andreas Schicker as their new managing director for sport.
Schicker joins the club from Sturm Graz, where he held a similar position.
The 38-year-old will join chairman Dr Markus Schütz and Frank Briel, who returns as financial director, to form the Bundesliga club's management team.
"Andreas Schicker was the ideal solution," said Hoffenheim first chairman Jörg Albrecht.
“He stands for exceptional quality of work and therefore for success. The discussions with him were characterised by a high degree of professionalism and trust. Throughout the negotiations, he always gave us the feeling that he really wanted to join TSG.”
