After months of negotiations, the saga surrounding Joshua Kimmich's future at Bayern Munich appears to be coming to an end.

Speaking after Bayern's 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday, Kimmich confirmed that a final decision on his future is imminent.

"A decision will be made in the next few days - in the direction mentioned. Now we want to get the ball over the goal line together," he told reporters in the mixed zone.

An agreement has been reached, but the contract has yet to be signed. If all goes to plan, Kimmich will extend his current contract, which expires in the summer, until 2029.

According to Sky Germany, the Germany captain will earn 20 million per year, including bonuses.
