Borussia Mönchengladbach saw a four-match unbeaten run come to an end on Saturday when they lost 0-3 at Augsburg in a game which saw goalkeeper Jonas Omlin sent off in the first half.

A sizeable chunk of the home support, disappointed with both the performance and the result, began to leave Borussia-Park in the second half after Augsburg had put the game beyond doubt.

According to striker Tim Kleindienst, the team didn't deserve that, even if the game didn't go to plan.

“You can't call this game anything other than shitty. Mistakes are part of the game. Let's get over it and move on,” Kleindienst stated on Instagram.

“It wasn't nice for us as a team to see a lot of people leaving the stadium early. I don't think we deserved that as a team, even with a performance like that.”

Kleindienst has made a big impact since joining Gladbach from Heidenheim in the summer, scoring 14 goals in 22 Bundesliga games. Die Fohlen face his former club in their next game on Saturday.
