Borussia Dortmund have emerged as front-runners to sign RB Salzburg and Germany forward Karim Adeyemi in the summer of 2022, according to Sport1.

Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc and head of first team football Sebastian Kehl are in 'good talks' with the 19-year-old's representatives, per the report.

Adeyemi has been touted as the player to fill the void that Erling Haaland could leave next summer, but Sport1 claims the club don't see him as a one-to-one replacement for the Norwegian international.

Adeyemi has found the net 11 times in 16 games for Salzburg this season. He has also been linked with Bayern München, RB Leipzig and Liverpool among others.
