Aleksandar Dragovic felt 'offended' by Leverkusen

Aleksandar Dragovic found himself in and out of the team at Bayer Leverkusen, and that took a toll on him.
Aleksandar Dragovic has admitted he was 'offended' by the way he was treated at Bayer Leverkusen.

The 30-year-old centre-back, who left BayArena to join Red Star Belgrade on a free transfer last summer told Goal and Spox:

"I made mistakes in my first year. But who doesn't make mistakes? Then I went on loan to Leicester for a season. After my return, I can't reproach myself. When I played, I always performed at my best. I couldn't understand why the coaches only wanted my help when there was an emergency situation. That offended me.

"But I still always gave all I had and never complained because I didn't want to bring a bad mood into the team. The whole situation was very difficult for me psychologically. But now I enjoy things all the more that I feel full confidence."

Dragovic has feated 15 times for Red Star Belgrade this season.
