Seoane thanks fans and promises better: "The team can do it."

Bayer Leverkusen could hardly bring themselves to face the FanKurve after their third consecutive home defeat.

With somber and dejected faces, die Werkself were still cheered by their diehards after captain Lukas Hradecky led the team over to the supporters' block.

In his post-match interview, B04 trainer Gerardo Seoane acknowledged that he appreciated the gesture and resolved to do better.

Veteran midfielder Robert Andrich also offered words on how the team could turn their fortunes around.
Captain Lukas Hradecky did not wish to see his teammates hand their heads too low. It was such that die Werkself captain led his team to the supporters' end himself and even engaged with fans as he requested they cheer their team.

The fans obliged. The faces of the defeated Leverkusen professionals remained the same. Defenders Edmond Tapsoba and Jonathan Tah looked particularly dejected.

"I found the team's exchange with the fans was good," head-coach Gerardo Seoane said when asked about the scenes after the match, "but that shouldn't become the rule. After all we know that we can do better and it's our job to show that again."

"The team can do it," Seaone also noted, "It has the talent. We're aware that we don't bring the same dynamism to the pitch, especially in our forward play, as we did at the beginning of the season. We're in a results-driven business and are winless in five."

Midfielder Robert Andrich was acquired late in the transfer window in part to bring fight and leadership to the pitch on a team with many finesse players.

"It's especially important for the young players to stand their ground and not back down," Andrich said afterwards, "I still think we stand together and go full-throttle together very well."
