Having seen limited playing time since joining Borussia Dortmund from Wolverhampton last summer, Fabio Silva has been linked with a potential winter exit.

Borussia Dortmund, however, are not considering letting the striker go, sporting director Sebastian Kehl emphasised in the mixed zone following Friday’s 2-0 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach.

“Fabio will stay. I have no desire to let him go. Why should we do that?” he said, adding that he didn’t want to entertain any reports suggesting Silva could leave.

Kehl also revealed that Dortmund may be active in the transfer market.

“Maybe it will be at the beginning of January, but there will be one or two squad changes – nothing crazy. Let’s see what happens,” he said.

“I’m already in talks.”
