According to Kicker, the Wolfsburg bosses are aware that the 29-year-old Dutch forward 'wants to take the next step in his career'.
Weghorst is playing his fourth season with 'Die Wölfe' and is out of contract in the summer of 2023.
He has found the net four times in 13 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this season.
