Nagelsmann: Goretzka has a "60 percent chance" of being fit to face Dortmund

Leon Goretzka has a "60 percent chance" of being in Bayern München's squad for Saturday's Bundesliga top-of-the-table clash with Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

Bayern München coach Julian Nagelsmann has provided a squad update ahead of his side's 'Der Klassiker' clash with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga tomorrow.

Most notably, Nagelsmann revealed Leon Goretzka, who has been struggling with hip problems this week, has a "60 percent chance" of making the squad.

"Leon Goretzka has a 60 percent chance of being in the squad. But we will make a decision on him tomorrow," Nagelsmann told reporters at the pre-match press conference.

"He has to make a decision on whether he can play at 100 percent. Only then does it make sense for him to play. The game is too big for that, to put players on who are not 100 percent fit.

"We don't yet know if Leon will be out. I hope he can play. If he can't, Jamal [Musiala] and Marc Roca are the alternatives."

As for the rest of his squad, Nagelsmann said:

"We actually wanted to include [Gabriel] Vidovic in the squad, but he picked up an injury yesterday. [Marcel] Sabitzer is still out. [Joshua] Kimmich will return sometime next week. [Eric Maxim] Choupo-Moting can end his quarantine tonight if he tests negative. [Josip] Stanišić suffered a muscle strain in training and will be out for the upcoming games."
