Lukas Hradecky has revealed he will sit down with Bayer Leverkusen to discuss a contract extension this month.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper and club captain, whose current deal expires in 2023, told Kicker:

"The date is arranged, we will exchange our thoughts in January.

"I would like to stay and assume that they would like to keep me for a few more years. The sooner, the better for all parties," added Hradecky, who has been Leverkusen's first-choice goalkeeper since 2018.

"I still have fire in my belly. Bayer is an awesome club, which unfortunately has not won a title for years. To make that happen again should be our motivation."
