Simons and Nkunku involved in potential swap deal?

Is this the solution for the complicated Xavi Simons transfer to Chelsea? According to a report from the Guardian, RB Leipzig and Chelsea are in talks over a potential swap deal.

This deal would include Leipzig's Xavi Simons and Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku.

Xavi Simons has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, but the two clubs have not come to an agreement over the fee so far.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have been trying to sell Nkunku over the last few weeks, with no club fully committing to signing the French international.

This swap deal would see Nkunku return to the Bundesliga and his former club, where he already featured in 172 games. Nkunku also won the trophy for the best goalscorer in the Bundesliga and the award for the “Footballer of the year” in 2022/23.

Bayern Munich are also showing interest in both players, but there has never been a concrete offer from the Bavarians.
