Bayern München starlet Jamal Musiala has targeted more playing time for the German national team ahead of this year's World Cup.
"I want to play a big role in the team. If not as a starter, I'll be happy to come on from the bench. I want to get more minutes at the World Cup than I had at the Euros," said the 18-year-old in an interview with Sport Bild.
"The defeat in the last 16 of the Euros against my second home country, England, hurt me a lot because I was subbed on during injury time and could hardly help. Of course I was disappointed. But I know my time in the starting eleven will come."
Since making his debut for Germany in March 2021, Musiala has gone on to feature nine times, scoring once.
