Gladbach lifted a weight off their shoulders with Saturday's 3-2 win over Augsburg, according to Jonas Hofmann.

"It's an incredibly important win. We’re delighted to have kept the three points here. It’s a weight off our shoulders, not just for us and the team, but even for the fans," said Hofmann, who scored one of Gladbach's three goals.
"We played really well in the first half. We were aggressive, put them under pressure and regularly won the ball back high up the pitch – that was the kind of football we want to be playing. It wasn’t as solid in the second half. It was a close call at the end and we had to squeeze the win over the line.
"Nevertheless, we can go home happy. It’s certainly another step forward, but we know that we won’t be handed anything and that we have to keep working hard."
Hofmann and Gladbach sit 13th in the Bundesliga table.
