Baumgart confirms Modeste return and Schwäbe absence
It has now been confirmed that FC Köln will be without Marvin Schwäbe against Eintracht Frankfurt, but Anthony Modeste and Julian Chabot are both fit and available again.
Marvin Schwäbe will be FC Köln's only absence for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, head coach Steffen Baumgart confirmed at the pre-match press conference.
With Schwäbe ruled out, Köln will have to manage without their first-choice goalkeeper, but Anthony Modeste will provide a boost up front after recovering from COVID-19. In addition, new signing Julian 'Jeff' Chabot is fit and available.
"Marvin Schwäbe is absent with illness. Otherwise, we're all fit and available and we'll see how we set up the squad on Saturday morning," said Baumgart.
"Anthony Modeste and 'Jeff' Chabot are fit again and should be in the squad, so there'll be a few changes to the team we have on Saturday."
