Official: Dortmund extend Sammer's contract
Matthias Sammer has extended his cooperation with Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund have tied external consultant Matthias Sammer down to a new contract until 2025.
"I am delighted that we will continue on our joint path in Dortmund in the future," commented Sammer after signing his new deal.
"[Sporting director] Michael Zorc will leave the club in the summer after many years, and I would like to play my part as an external advisor to support the management and Michael's successor Sebastian Kehl to the best of my ability.
"The situation in the midst of a worldwide pandemic is challenging. We have not yet reached the end of our task. At BVB, we have a lot planned and now we are getting down to work."
