After failing to close the deal in January 2024, Bayern Munich signed João Palhinha from Fulham at the start of the season. However, for many reasons, life in the Bundesliga has been extremely difficult for the 29-year-old defensive midfielder.

The player now talks about his difficult season in an interview with Bild. "I don't care about rumors! I'm still happy at Bayern," Palhinha said about the rumors linking him with an immediate move from Germany. "Of course, I want things to be different. It hasn't been easy for me at times.

“But, this isn't the first time in my career. And I'm here because I did some things very well before. I want to win titles here," said the Portugal international as he aims to prove his doubters wrong like Leon Goretzka did throughout the season.

"Yes, he (Goretzka) can be a role model. We get along well. He deserves it, and we have to praise him for it".

Sky denied reports of an early separation between Palhinha and Bayern. According to the popular TV station, no effort has been made by Bayern to send the player on loan in the summer. Palhinha made his 20th appearance for the club in yesterday’s 3-2 win over St. Pauli, but he only started five Bundesliga games.
