In the summer of 2017, Hakan Calhanoglu left Bayer Leverkusen to join AC Milan. Now, with the winter transfer window coming up, a move back to Germany could be on the cards for the Turkish international.

According to Tuttusport, AC Milan are considering selling the 24-year-old who could potentially see his playing time limited with the arrival of the promising Brazilian Lucas Paqueta who will join the 'Rossoneri' from Flamengo in January.

Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are said to be interested in Calhanoglu who could be open to a return to Germany.

It's not the first time Calhanoglu is being linked with a move to RB Leipzig. According to a Bild report, the club's sporting director and head coach, Ralf Rangnick, was interested in bringing Calhanoglu to the Red Bull Arena before the midfielder opted to go join AC Milan instead.

Calhanoglu has previously played for Karlsruher SC, Hamburger SV and Bayer Leverkusen.
